Church Architecture and Master Planning

Our design studio is ultimately gauged by our core expertise...understanding churches. This expertise is as unique in the industry as church buildings are to their communities. Master planning for churches is unlike any other planning exercise, requiring insight into church operations that far exceeds typical planning acumen. That unique insight and expertise is required for these common aspects of church projects:

  • Master Planning

  • Multi-Purpose Design

  • Image

  • Acoustics

  • Facilities Management

We specialize in any building type or project that a church may undertake, i.e., auditoriums, multi-purpose buildings, schools, day care, retirement centers, radio stations, real estate development, etc. Traditional church projects were typically sanctuaries, education, or multi-purpose buildings, but these other project types are the vanguard of ever-expanding church project types.

master planning

Master Planning is the key to a successful project: here is where we define the criteria for success in the present and plan for the future as your church evolves and grows.

IMAGE

A church's image is the vision and mission of the ministry; we create architectural elements and experiences that support this vision in many forms.

multi-purpose design

We approach the design of a church as  a center of the community. Facilities must be flexible to adapt to a variety of needs while embodying the spirit of the congregation.

Planning, Design and Construction

Each project, client, and site is unique. To fully accomplish the goals and requirements of every unique project requires the kind of expertise and flexibility reflected in our construction program.

Design-Build
Combining the roles of the architect and builder enables the most of each project design and budget. Turnkey professional and construction services provides the most value for any agenda or building program, Design/Build is especially the right program for churches that:

  • Need help defining or managing any program, including addition, relocation, or renovation

  • Want help financing their project

  • Understand the value of professional service, but are challenged with budget limitations

  • Are in a building program or have a construction project of any type or size

Through the Design/Build program, we take our clients from beginning to end of a project - on time and in budget - by providing master planning, managing design and construction, coordinating sub-contractors and negotiating with vendors for price and quality. But it is our dedication to overcoming even the biggest budget obstacles that makes this program such an immense value. We will work with lenders, insurance companies, donors, and volunteers, as well as help organize fundraising events and stewardship campaigns to realize your project goals.

Any church project, from a simple renovation to a complete campus relocation, can benefit from the Design/Build program, created to avoid an end result that is over your budget and under your expectations.

An inspiring invitation to come together

From baptisms to weddings to memorial services, the design of a church must incorporate a wide variety of needs and emotions in a singular, authentic and meaningful way. We work with you to insure this is part of our process from beginning to end, but the final assessment comes from your congregation when the space serves their specific needs.
